Cafe Source is a cafe/bar within St Andrew’s in the Square open every day till 11pm, and till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
The name Cafe Source was chosen to reflect the aim of providing the best of Scottish fare courtesy of the many Scottish farmers, fishermen and merchants who continue to distribute only the best of quality. It is no surprise then that traditional favourites like haggis and Scotch pies figure on the cafe menu, however these are also complimented by more esoteric dishes such as ‘West Coast Mussels’, ‘Braised Shin of Beef’ and ‘Croque Monsieur’.
The bar has a good range of Scottish malts, fine wines and continental beer and lager.
Cafe Source is also home to traditional music and singing sessions within Saint Andrew’s in the Square providing an ideal situation to enjoy a glass of wine.
“The food at Cafe Source is extremely good and well-priced…” (The Sunday Times)
“Traditional Scottish ingredients are used to create excellent-value dishes with a contemporary edge…” (The List Eating and Drinking Guide)
